Recipes for you, dear friend.

Kool-Aid. Hello old friend.

Kool Aid has been with me through thick and thin. I think the thick is the good stuff and the thin the bad.

Anyways, Kool Aid.
First name Kool. Last name Aid. Middle name best friend.

Because Kool Aid means so much to me, I must share a beloved recipe. Many summers ago, a friend shared her perfected simple recipe for straight Kool Aid. This is the no frills approach to the Aid. Embellishments can be made after one has mastered the basics.
Don’t rush. Enjoy the process. And savor your hard work.

Kool Aid Made Right
1 packet of your favorite Kool Aid (it’s important to use your favorite, you’ll notice the most improvement if you use your fav)
1 cup of sugar
Water (hot and cold)
ice cubes/crushed ice (I prefer the cubes for this concoction)
2 quart pitcher

Add 3 cups steaming warm water to the pitcher
Add sugar to warm water immediately and stir or shake until fully dissolved.
To this simple syrup add your favorite Kool Aid packet. Then use the packet like a cup and fill with water and empty contents into the pitcher. Repeat this process until packet empties clear water into the pitcher, approximately 8 times.
Add some ice to the mix and stir or shake a few times. Fill pitcher with water, if necessary. Enjoy!!!

Embellishments to this recipe include:
Adding soda water in place of water at end gives Kool Aid a sparkly flair and goes great with summer pizzas
Add fresh or frozen fruit. Strawberries, grapes, and orange/lemon/lime slices work best. Bananas don’t work at all.
